Research Topics

  • Research into side effects of cancer treatment and how to deal with them

Using cisplatin-induced animal models, we are studying the mechanism of cisplatin-induced kidney injury, searching for drugs to prevent kidney injury, and developing methods to reduce side effects.

In collaboration with the formulation research team, we are researching and developing a patient-friendly mouthwash to treat stomatitis that occurs during cancer chemotherapy and radiation therapy.

  • Research into the efficacy and safety of drugs for the treatment of intractable diseases

Due to the Westernization of the diet, the patients with inflammatory bowel disease increase in Japan. We are conducting research and exploratory research on inflammatory bowel disease using model animals.

  • Measurement of impurities in pharmaceutical preparations

We are conducting research to ensure the quality and safety of pharmaceuticals by measuring metal impurities contained in pharmaceutical preparations.

We are conducting research to confirm the effectiveness and safety of generic drugs

  • Research into the differentiation, regenerative ability, and safety of stem cells applicable to regenerative medicine

We are searching for stem cell characteristic markers for practical application of cell-processed products.

We study for paracrine factors that control stem cell differentiation and proliferation and elucidating their mechanisms of action.

We are developing a method to detect abnormal cells in cell-processed products with high accuracy and efficiency using artificial intelligence.
