Functional Morphology

Laboratory of Functional Morphology, Meiji Pharmaceutical University

The Laboratory of Functional Morphology aims to elucidate biological phenomena through the integration of functional analysis and morphological observation. We promote research that captures functional and morphological changes using techniques such as Western blotting, high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), light microscopy, and electron microscopy.

Our research encompasses a wide range of topics, including hereditary diseases. We focus on elucidating disease mechanisms using cultured cells, as well as analyzing intracellular changes influenced by culture conditions. In addition, we conduct comprehensive analyses across multiple biological levels, from tissues and organs to the whole organism.
