Satoshi KISHINO, Ph.D., Professor
Keiko OHNO, Ph.D., Associate Professor
The purpose of our research is to study how to use medicines properly in a clinical setting. We are studying the use of medicine using the techniques of literature evaluation, drug use evaluation (DUE), and clinical pharmaceutics including pharmacokinetics. We are also verifying our results through application to patients in a clinical setting. Current research projects are as follows:
1. Experimental and statistical verification of information regarding the efficacy of and adverse reactions to drugs (e.g. antimicrobial agents, antifungal agents, etc.)
2. Establishment of a methodology for the proper usage of drugs and clinical evaluation of their validity: The establishment of a simplified method of ascertaining a patient's drug compliance. Evaluation of drug use in pharmacy, clinic or hospital settings
