Our main goal of study is to improve efficacy and safety of pharmacotherapy in every patient by clarifying the factors contributing to inter-individual variations and developing the dosage algorithms to overcome clinically significant variations observed between individuals.
Toward these purposes, we are now conducting the following studies:
1. Pharmacogenetic studies of population differences in pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of anticoagulants 2. Population pharmacokinetic analyses to clarify factors influencing inter-individual variations in the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of drugs and to establish the appropriate dosage algorithms to every patient
3. Development of the dosage regimens to overcome clinically significant variations between individuals by applying basic concepts of clinical pharmacokinetics and TDM
